Stand-Down for Safety Falls from heights continue to be a leading cause of death for construction employees. To raise awareness of this issue, OSHA has designated this week, May 7-11, as a National Safety Stand-Down To Prevent Falls in Construction. Click here for additional information on conducting a safety stand-down and similar voluntary events for employers to talk directly to employees about safety. This week provides a great opportunity to review compliance obligations under OSHA’s new Fall Protection Standards for both (road) construction operations and general industry
