Background: The CAPA fund-raising Golf tournament is the primary event used to fund the CAPA portion for recipients to attend the NCAT Technology course. Each year CAPA in partnership with the APWA Colorado Chapter, selects several candidates to attend the week long technology course at the NCAT facility at Auburn University in Alabama. NCAT is the foremost research facility for the advancement of HMA in the country.
Proceeds from the tournament are directly used for expenses related to the technology course for attendee’s. Application deadline has past for 2011.

Annual Golf Tournament/Scholarship Fund Raiser a Success Over $10,000 was raised at our 20^th Annual Golf Tournament/Scholarship Fund Raiserheld on Sept. 16 at beautiful Raccoon Creek Golf Course in Lakewood.  We thank all of our sponsors including title sponsor Moody Insurance Agency.  (Photo Gallery) Applications are now being accepted for the joint CAPA/APWA Asphalt Technology Scholarship Program.  Recipients will attend the (Short Course in Asphalt Technology) at NCAT (Auburn University-Alabama). 

CAPA Golf tournament to hold silent Auction! As part of the 2011 CAPA scholarship golf tournament we will be holding a silent auction to help raise additional funds. If you would like to help out, but are not playing in the tournament, this is your opportunity to do so. We will be auctioning 2 sets of 4 tickets with parking passes for the September 20^th (6:40pm) and 21^st (1:10pm) Rockies games, anotherset f 2 tcket to th September 21st rckies game,. Dinner for 4 at Ghost Plate and Tap Restaurant, 2 cases of Wynkoop Brewery Railyard Ale beer, 4 tickets to the Bronco Game, September 18 vs Cincinnati, 40 Yard line seats. Bids can be made by sending your bid to Tom Clayton. Opening bids for the et of 4 Rockies tickets is $100 for each game. These tickets are directly behind Home plate, Section 134 row 28 4 seats on the aisle. And include parking in lot A. $35 face value each seat. The other seats are Section 119, Row 32, Seats 13 & 14 which is lower level down the first base line, opening bid is $30.
Dinner for 4 is at Ghost Plate and Tap Resturant and valued at $200, opening bid is $100. The Railyard Ale Beer is valued at $72 dollars with an opening bid of $40. The Bronco Tickets are valued at $700 opening bid of $150.

We have received our first nomination for the 2012 Asphalt Technology Scholarship Program.  Mike Conner, Deputy Director of Public Works, has submitted an application.  The program is a joint CAPA/APWA Colorado Chapter effort that provides funding for selected candidates to attend the week long Short Course in Asphalt Technology at the National Center for Asphalt Technology at Auburn University in Alabama.  All Colorado APWA members and CAPA member contractors are eligible.  (Nomination Form)  (Course Info)
