Is it acceptable to have a PE sign my verification sign off form?
A PE qualifies to be a verifier only if he or she is LabCAT certified in the level or levels you are testing for.
The company I work for does not have a certified asphalt technician who can sign the “Verification Sign Off” form. What do I do?
You may go outside your company to have your verification sign off form completed. Or, you may attend the RMAEC education class “Introduction to HMA QC / QA Testing”. Upon completion of the class, the RMAEC instructor will determine if you are proficient in the procedures. The instructor will verify and complete the sign-off form.
I am certified in Wyoming, do I still need to attend LabCAT certification?
All technicians working on CDOT projects, where the QC/QA specification is used, are required to hold certification through the LabCAT program.
I became Level A certified 6 months ago. Can I become B certified?
If one certification level has been attained and a higher certification level is desired at a future date, the higher level of certification must be completed within 1 year.

Do you know what may occur if you verify a
technician who is not qualified to be in the
